St. Mary’s Art Center

For the past forty-two years the St. Mary’s Art Center, fondly called the SMACenter, may been continuously offering week-long and weekend art workshops but few people know the center has been going through a magical transformation, from a installing a complete new heating system, new kitchen/dining room with a dishwasher, on-demand hot water to high speed wireless throughout the building.  Additionally two new new gallery spaces were developed, a second studio added, walls removed to add light, and nine sleeping rooms painted and totally redecorated  also await artists and art lovers.  What are you waiting for?  Call St. Mary’s Art Center (775) 847-7774 to schedule a visit or to get into one of the workshops before they are all filled. The center is open to the public Tuesdays-Sundays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the tourist season May through October.
